1 . Pray in faith

"And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith." (Matthew 21:22)

The machine at work hadn’t been working properly for a while; the connection kept going on and off. During the days where we waited for the new parts, I kept praying all the time that we could still get results from a malfunctioning machine.

A doctor who worked with me asked: "Do you think God has time to listen to your prayer and take care of this menial thing?"
I said: "Of course. God can count everybody's hair. He will definitely listen to my prayer and help."
"Yes, I know you are a religious person."
"No, I'm not religious. I am a devoted Christian. I am faithful to the Lord."

Yes, I am a Christian who not only loves the Lord and reads the Bible, but who also does whatever His Word says. I want to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. I should glorify my God in my daily life, at work and at home with my family.

Praise the Lord. The machine worked fine for me during my continuous prayer, even when the parts had not arrived yet.

"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have receive it, and it will be yours." (Mark 11:24)

2. A little love can warm up your heart

"And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. “(Colossians 3:14)

The day wasn’t off to a great start. For one, I was not feeling well and had to run to the washroom right after arriving to work. At the same time, I had some harsh words spoken to me from one coworker about the stress machine. After all of that, I just continued to work but I said very little.

"Hi dear, this is your soup for lunch," the front desk girl told me.
"I haven't ordered any food today. Are you sure this is mine?" I was surprised.
"Yes. Someone told me to get it for you."
Speechless.

A few minutes later, I asked a tech who had just finished working on a patient, whether he had bought the soup for me. He said that he had noticed that I was not in a good mood, so he asked the girl to buy the soup for me to cheer me up. I was so moved – I knew that he was living by paycheque too. After that, I was happy and smiling again. The dark cloud in my heart was gone.

A little love can warm up your heart and change your life.

"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works." (Hebrews 10:24)
